I switched my z-lux from the head cab it came as to a combo cab I had built for it. I have never been sure about the reverb wires. I usually do not use the lux reverb as it is too subtle for me. I turned the reverb on after the swap and if I dime it, I get a whistling sound. Does this indicate wires are not hooked up right or bad tube? Tube is the one Doc recommends and is fairly new. The amps back is hard to get to in my man cave and before getting to it, would appreciate any advice on how to proceed. Thanks==Jester

Swap the plugs, only going into the amp chassis. If they were plugged in incorrectly, this will fix it.
I had an early Z-Lux and also thought the reverb was too subtle. They may have made revisions since then though. Most of my amps don't have reverb, so I have a Catalinbread Talisman I use with all my amps now and like it better than any built in reverb that any amps I've owned has/had. Guess I'm a plate reverb kinda guy, not a spring reverb kinda guy.

I do not suppose it would matter since I do not ever use the on board reverb. I have a flint that has great reverb and trem, although I use the trem on the lux, it is awesome. Thanks--Jester
