After unpacking my new amp, I heard rattling inside when I tipped it. There is a metal screw, lock washer, and regular washer sliding around inside the amp Now I'm concerned the screw isn't where it is supposed to be so maybe my new amp is affected. I couldn't see anywhere inside the amp that a screw was missing. This is very unsettling. I waited a long time for this NEW Z Master amp and would hate to return it but can't see keeping it if the screw situation means something will not work right. Any good advice out there?
Thanks, Laura

Welcome to the forum. I'd take a picture of the screw and washers, then send it to the folks at Z. I'm pretty sure that they could ID it and point you to where it should go. Maybe it didn't come loose from anywhere and a stray screw got into the cab during assembly. Good luck.
PS: the first place I would check for one that came loose are the speaker mounting screws as they generally use lock washers.

Well to the best of my knowledge there are no screws with locking washers, and flat washers used inside the chassis. That screw set assembly is used to secure the heavy transformers to outside the chassis not inside the chassis. So you are saying you removed the chassis from the cab, removed the mounting board and see a screw set sliding around inside the amp. I would surely like to see a picture of that, so I could comment also what is the Serial Number ?

I also recommend taking pictures and emailing to Z amps. I would think seeing the parts in question would help identify where to look on the amp if they came loose during shipping. Doc and his crew have great customer service. And just to clarify... You bought it new?

Welcome to the Forum Laura! A lot of good people and information here! I can assure you that Doc and his team will quickly get to the solution here. He builds his amps like tanks so I'm sure this will be a fairly painless and quick resolution.
