I just picked up a 2008 MAZ-18 JR reverb head. The previous owner had the upgrade done. It has send/return jacks on the rear panel. It doesn't have the footswitch jack. What is typically done with the upgrade? Also, I believe I've seen at least one MAZ-18 with the footswitch jack but not the send/return. Curious if anyone can fill me in here. Thanks.

Based upon the information, the previous owner may have had some upgrades but did not have the EQ Bypass Upgrade.
That's my 2 cents

Is the power cable attached? In my research I've found that the EQ bypass isn't able to be added with the Maz amps with the attached power cable. Dr. Z also did an AMA about it on YouTube at some point where he explains why, but I can't seem to find it.

I don't think that's true about the attached power cord and the bypass mod unless things have changed. I have a 2002 Maz 18 Reverb that I had it done on and I also did own an attached power cord Maz 18 non-reverb from the same general time frame that I also had it done on. That was when the mod first came out, so like I said maybe things have changed. For the record, I didn't have the send return mod done. I actually think it wasn't available then, or maybe that's the mod that won't work on the corded models?

Don puts it up to the customer as to what options they want outside of the reverb mods, the master volume upgrade, and the voicing update. Things like FX loop, Bypass/Boost function, and 6n14n power tubes are optional and can save the customer money if they don't intend on using them.

When I had my 2011 done, I elected not to do the bypass, as I typically use a boost pedal/OD and rarely would need to increase OD that much. Mine is the NR version and has the send and return. Just the MV alone and other stuff is worth having. No need for the brake lite.

Here is the link to the mods page. Looks like from the receipt and your description that the first of the Maz 18 on the list (which also clarifies what is not included) is what was done to your amp. drzamps.com/support/mods-and-services/
