I sent in my 2005 MAZ 18 NR to Z for the MK II mod and NOS power tubes. To be expected, it rocks.
The mod definitely took out a good amount of bass, which could get flubby if I ran it above 9:00. Not the case anymore, all the way up the knob.
It has more gain now, and a little more mid bark which I love.
The new master volume is great. With the brake-lite and master up, I'm able to get a little more compression, but I like the nice open gain sound I can get with the master down and no attenuator. I'm selling the brake-lite that was in it.
And of course, Don was a pleasure to work with. If you have an older MAZ, I would certainly recommend sending it in for the mod. It's worth it.

That is awesome! How long have you owned that amp? That amp will be around for a while

I modded mine a few years ago, right after the mod came out. I was a little skeptical at first, but when I got it back I realized that was the BEST decision I've made with any amp! It took a great amp and made it even greaterer
