I watched this video that Dr Z put out for installing spring tube retainers:
I wanted to do the mod to my Dr. Z Plus. Should I also add a spring retainer to the rectifier tube as well as the power tubes or is there a reason I shouldn’t mess with the rectifier tube? Thanks!

OK first welcome to the forum. I'll respond to this question as I feel many may benefit for my response it is in two parts : 1) most reciters like say a 5AR4 are very small and the Spring retainer will fit way too loose for any benefit and then may also add to the rattle itself. 2) the rectifier is not in the signal chain so if it does have a slight internal rattle , ( which most do not ) it will be only heard inside the cab slightly not amplified through the speaker like all the other tubes will. So, I'm not saying this is you BUT, if a player is annoyed by a slight internal rattle while you're playing Rock-n-Roll you have more problems then tube rattle . DR.Z
