Just got a new—built in Aug 22–Maz38 mkII. Awesome amp. I have a major concern regarding the loop. I have a Strymon Timeline and Big Sky in the loop. They, of course, sound great. However when I step on the boost switch they distort. It’s not subtle. It’s not just that they sound more overdriven because they’re boosted, they sound more like they are in front—not in the loop—if that makes sense. Anyone have this problem? Is it just an inherent anomaly or is my amp/loop malfunctioning? I hope I can sort this out because it’s a potential deal-breaker. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks y’all 🤟🎸

Hi more than likely an inherent anomaly. The loop returns into V2 which drives the tone stack, hitting the EQ bypass ups the gain at this point so it is entirely possible that the Strymon boxes sound more distorted. Please let me know if you have any questions Don Depew DRZ Repairs 216-475-1962
