I quite enjoyed that. interesting to hear them talk about the divided political climate in the U.S. (sounded vaguely current...). Kinda stunning when i sat and tried to think of all the hits they had over a very short period of time. Every time I thought i'd named them all, they'd play another one. And, it's not just the songs themselves but Fogarty created so many iconic guitar riffs for the songs. My wife commented on how a lot of the hits were very pop sounding. I told her, I guess i like it cause when i was about 8 or 9, i would listen to the transistor radio under my pillow and fall asleep to the AM radio playing Out my back door in rotation with the Rubber Ducky song.
Also, talking about guitar tone... what an interesting combination of guitar/amp to play the blues on. Kinda brave of him to play the blues on a Ricky.

In a period with so many ground breaking bands they amazingly had so many hits. Just amazing and they all hold up.

They were my favorite band back in the late '60s. And the very first concert I ever went to. It was CCR and Grand Funk was the opening band.
EDIT: I'm about 20 minutes into the movie, and it's really well done. Thanks Ian!

Thanks for the heads up on this, Ian. I will watch it today. Every band I've been in in the last 30 years has played some CCR material.

So good. It reminded me of why I loved them so much so long ago...the joy in the music is infectious.
