Hi folks, I bought a used MAZ 18 jr. from Reverb. Seller mentioned he got feedback from the reverb setting. I pulled the tank from the bag and found a faceplate from a MAZ 18 which had been cut in half and taped together, as well as a piece of cardboard on top of it. Both were neatly taped over the spring compartment. Anybody hear of this? I’d like to post photos but I don’t have a URL the photos.
all the best from Vancouver!

Well, I must admit when I read the thread title I thought that we were in for a little more exciting find. I’ve heard stories of guys opening their guitar case accessory compartment finding the previous owners stash, etc. You’ll usually find cardboard in the tank bag to keep anything conductive from interfering with the mechanical function of the springs since it’s not directly screwed into the cab.

I had one with a cut up Galaxy faceplate in the bag , they use them for hum shielding.

There's a link somewhere on the forum about using some cardboard with some silver tape in the bag. I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks Mike. By the way, I miss Eddie. He hasn’t been seen here in awhile.
