This has been a search many months in the making. There’s limited inventory near me so it was a leap of faith. I purchased this on line (something I tried to avoid) from Maury’s music. I couldn’t have been more pleased with his assistance. This is Martin’s 0000, jumbo body, dreadnought depth in their 28 trim level. Think of an OM-28 in jumbo form. Big canon with piano like clarity, great balance and sustain for days. My wife and I have been working more acoustic gigs and I wanted a supplement to my short scale 000-28ec

Beauty! I love the smell of a new Martin when you open the case 😎 Yes, that smell is an extra added bonus. It kind of continues as you play. I wonder how long that will last.

That baby looks nice! Enjoy! I think some secret sauce that Martin uses is embedding that 'new guitar smell' somehow into their cases. I swear after 10 years, I still get that whiff when I open up the case.

My Martin d35 feels like what you described. However, I found it really problematic trying to use live because thing is soalive and resonant, it just feeds back at the slightest whim. One gig in particular, a super crowded bar making a ton of noise, my wife singing couldn't hear the guitar to sing to and anything added to the monitor just made it feedback. If you use one of those sound hole covers, it just changes the frequency it feeds back at. I didn't expect that, but I think it's the nature of the beast.

This has the same bracing as the D-35, so this could be a challenge. I have K&K trinity pickups in my other acoustics. I’m probably going to follow with the same in this one, but that’s still up in the air. What are you using for your pickup?

I just saw this. You finally pulled the trigger! Nice looking guitar! It's hard to tell from the picture that it's a jumbo.
