Thank you for the add!
I am the brand new owner of a Carmen Ghia! I drove 3 hours to Sweetwater and decided I was not leaving there without the 112 combo. WOW! I am trying to find the right OD to get the good breakup because I cannot turn it up that loud to get it to break up. I can’t wait to gig this out
I can’t believe I’ve went this long with out a Dr. Z amp

Ghia is my all time favorite….just a great amp, easy to use, pure sounding, and original design!

You're gonna love it. The Ghia is one of my all time favorite amps, it responds beautifully to different speakers and tubes, and is so easy to dial in a tone. Love mine!
Oh, and welcome to the forum...this is a great place.

Thanks guys, I have a few week before my next gig, so I'm getting antsy. I'm looking at the Z Wreck Jr. for my next purchase already lol. That will be down the road though. Right now I am just concentrating on getting a good pedal board ready. I keep switching out pedals to see what is going to work best for the amp and also me.

Welcome Crowcaster! That's the fun part of owning a Z amp, you can't and shouldn't stop at one. They all have something to say in a musician's hands.
My top three Z amps in order (as of today)- Stangray Mazerati Carmen Ghia
Best, Ron

Great choice in an amp. Always good to hear from new players on the forum. That amp is a keeper for sure.

the Ghia takes all of the OD style pedals I've put in front of it but sounds awesome all on it's own as you open it up. when i'm not able to open the ghia up past 9 or 10 o'clock, i'll run a Tubescreamer with the drive set to 9 o'clock and the output up to 2 or 3 o'clock. that would be basic OD sound that i can use guitar volume to clean up if needed and and i have an additional 2-stage Dumble style OD pedal i use for MORE drive when needed.

Welcome to the forum! What a great choice for a first Z. I gigged mine for several years and loved it. The guys are right about tubes and speakers. I ran mine with stock tubes but did try a Gold and a Red Fang. That RF was a beast (10").
