Hi folks! I have bought a second hand DB4 and I was surprised there is a power transformer Made In Mexico. There is a label "DR-Z" so it looks genuine, but I remember Doc saying in one of his AMA that all tranformers he uses are made in the USA. Do you also have Mexican power transformer in your DB4? I should mention that I have a European 230V version of the amp. Thanks!

No not all transformers are sourced from US. I have a Z-28 and an SRZ65 with CIN-TRAN transformers made in Canada, but they are Dr.Z spec and sound like it too!

Great company 606 EIA code look for them in all Fender amps built since the 60's, Mesa Boogie, and many more including DR.Z Amps produced today. I stayed with them when they moved production and have not regretted it. DR.Z

I just wanted to be sure that the transformer is original as this is a second-hand amp. I also found the tranny to be humming more than what I am used to from other amps. Shall I try tightening the screws? In any case, the amp sounds great! Peter
