Anyone have any experience with the Eminence/Allsandro GA-SC64 speaker in a 1x12 combo or cab? At 100.5 db, I’m sure it’s a loud speaker, but I was wondering how tight the low end was, and what kind of break-up, if any, it has.

I am interested in hearing more about this. I love the demos I have heard.

I have one and went back and forth between it and the Z12 in both my Cure and Z28. At first I liked the GA-SC12 more, but after using it for a while, then swapping back to the Z12, I like the Z12 better. I don't remember why, but I know I posted liking the GA more a few times. As they are now, with the Z12 I am very happy with both amps.

I had bought a couple of those speakers a few years back. I used it in a Princeton that I built, another Fendery amp that I built, and my Therapy. Frank (Irreversal) and I tried them at the same time.
I like the speaker a lot for the classic Fender amp sound, however I remember it being a little flubby with a cranked Therapy. I believe Frank blew his speaker.
In summary, I am certain it is a great speaker for a Fender type circuit. Not sure how it will react with other circuits.

I got one of these not long after I posted this. I picked up a used one for a non-Z amp, a Valco 6v6 1624t clone. I’ve really come to like it quite a lot. I’ve never really been a 1x12 guy, whether a combo or a separate cab, but It suits this amp perfectly.
