this was from the past weekend. we did a 700 seat ballroom with a nice sound system. drummers wife caught most of this song on video and posted to Facebook. I think you should be able to access the video even without a facebook logon but embedding a facebook video is kinda weird on proboards and i can't see the video when using Firefox. if you copy the link below without the quotation marks, you should be able to paste it into a browser.

It would've sounded better with bass in the monitors! Thanks for sharing - I always love seeing your band play.

Tone was great and the playing was tasty! Nice! And, you gave me another data point for Trio playing. When the guitar solo comes, the drummer goes to the ride. I'm thinking my next venture will be my Rockin' Blues trio again. I fire up my recorded tunes at home, remove everything but drums, bass, and vocal, and then play along. While scratching my head why some stuff sounds empty, I started paying attention to other trios and started to hear that ride during solos. Hmmm. It's a working theory at this point. Thanks for sharing. It was fun to listen to.

Just remember this about drummers... it's been my experience that most speed up when they move over to the ride cymbal. Especially when doing a shuffle.
Explore at your own risk.

So well done. The blessing and the curse of the Ghia is that it will give you what you put in. At times I got tired of having to be too precise with it. No worries here with you and you're not going to hide much in a three piece. Really impressive.

No worries here with you and you're not going to hide much in a three piece. Really impressive. Firstly, thanks for the kind words. You definitely feel exposed in a 3 piece but the challenge is great fun. I think that "gives you what you put in" sound/feel is indicative of not just the Ghia but Class A amps in general. This was my experience when i bought my first Z amp sight unseen and unheard. It highlighted every deficiency in my gear and my playing. It definitely took some getting used to.

Really, really nice job! I take it you were just going straight in, no pedals? Great tone, you rock that Ghia.

Thanks, Dave. no. actually, you're hearing a tube screamer with the level at 90% and 50% gain running into the Ghia which is at 25% volume (9 o'clock). I also have a Dumble style gain pedal when i want something extra otherwise, i use my guitar volumes.
