I have been lusting for a Carmen Gia for a few years from Buddy's personal recondition. I just go today from reverb for 1,000.00 one that included tax and shipping in mint condition a 2011. It is truly mind-blowing.I don't have a break lite yet and don't know if I will need it.Wow this brings my entirely old catalog to new sensations.

Enjoy, it's a fantastic amp. What speaker do you have in yours? Mine's a 10" Red Fang in a small studio cab, and I definitely need the Brake Lite in mine. Even with the Big Band I have mine on two clicks with the volume set at9:00-9:30.

Try turning the Brake Lite off and running it at 8ish. There shouldn't be any difference in gain but to my ear, the tone is so much nicer without the BL.

Thanks, I'll try that. Aren't you running a 2x10 w/Red Fangs? Or is that a 1x12? I'm thinking about going back to a 10" Greenback without the BL.

The Greenback will definetly drop your volume and add a little gain. You could possible get by without a BL with a Greenback. If you go to a Greenback and its not enough, but you like the tone, then try the V Type 10". Nice middle ground between the two. I love my Ghia with a Greenback 12" or two.

I just through in the 12" Red Fang into my little 1x12 Z Combo and I have to say it sounds damn good, but its brutally loud. Its good that I hung onto a couple of the RF's, but they are hard to use at home.

I used that amp on stage for several years and never had a headroom problem.
