Why does my Monza have "MAZ" hand written in block letters in red Sharpie along with the date on the side of the chassis? Also, who is DM?
Ray Mullin is the name of the Dr. Z dealer half an hour from me. The name on the piece of tape that I pulled back is the original owner and who I bought the amp from. He had the Master volume added and I assume that's when his name was put on it.

I assume DM are the initials of the builder.
The date of the "MAZ" entry is 5 days after the build. So, I suspect that's the Q.A date and is "MAZ" Dr Z's initials (and hence whom did the Q.A.)?

I'm guessing that it was built by "DM" on 5-26-11, and then quality-checked by Dr. Z (initials "MAZ") six days later on 6/1/11.

That's why I asked. I didn't think it was Dr. Z's initials so I wondered if it had anything to do with the Maz amps.
