Hey Adam ... nice t shirt. Doug and Pat were a lot of fun to watch. Hope they're still going.
Awesome tone as usual. Nice job.

Sorry to say it looks like D&P haven't made a video in a year. And thanks. I was fooling around with a Strat and those same setting and I just thought it sounded amazing and should be shared. Then for kicks changed strings on the LP, 11's down one half step, and I thought that sounded really cool tool so ended up recording some samples with that. Then it was just taking too long and I never got back to the Strat. Another day for that I guess. Those types of tones are what made me want to start playing guitar in the first place.

Thanks Doc! Yeah, lots of options for lots of great tones in those amps. I can't even really say I like any of them better than any of the others, they are all equally great.
There's probbaly 15 amps behind the curtain. Whenever I bring one out, I'm usually dissapointed in something about it. The noise floor usually is the most obvious without even playing anything. Then I switch back to a Z and I think I forgot to hook up a speaker cable or something.
Thanks for making fantastic guitar amplifiers. We are really lucky you do what you do. Also thanks to everyone at your company, particularly Don. He went out of his way to offer advise and suggestions to a friend of mine who bought a used, damaged/doa Z the other day. It really says a lot about the company as a whole.

Thanks for making this video Adam! It really shows the capabilities of the EMS. I like to tell the story of A/B testing the EMS versus a Marshall 1987. We played with the cabling so much that we didn't notice that they were change in the process. We agreed that while the EMS was close to the Marshall it wasn't quite there. Imagine our surprise when we found out what we though was the Marshall was actually the EMS - the EMS out-Marshalled the Marshall!

Thanks Jaguar. I don't think it really shows the "capabilities" of the amp at all though, the demo is more like a given shade that lurks within it. The capabilities of this has to be near the top of any Z amp when you think the range of beautiful loud clean to over the top metal uses. I know you know all the Marshall type amps inside out, but I don't know how you could beat this one. Or if you can, it will be one of those that does that one sound and nothing else. This thing will go anywhere you want or need an amp to go.

Nice video, Adam. I noticed a That Pedal Show t-shirt as well as the D&P one.

Thanks all, really appreciated. I just stumble on tones that I think are decent once in a while and want to share them. People may like them or not, but if they do, at least you know you can match the equipment and settings and have that sound.

Really nice Adam, as always. I've had Todd's (PCNS) EMS for a few weeks on loan and I just pulled my Tube Driver out and tried it per Jailbreak. Bedroom setting on the Air Brake.
Wow, thank you! Inspiring tone, if I can't pull off the riffs I can fool some people. Time for woodshedding.

Inspiring tone, if I can't pull off the riffs I can fool some people. Time for woodshedding. Isn't the tube driver an odd pedal? I never use that thing, but pulled it out for this one and liked what it did. The EMS is a really interesting amp. There are TONS of tones in that amp. When I was playing it the other day clean with an h30 and going back forth with other amps, I kind of came to the conclusion that it might be the best clean sound I have available to me. As you mentioned with the air brake, yeah, it sort of wants to be all get out loud. Not really a bedroom amp. Not like it was meant to be, so there's that too. I do kind of wonder what Don's post phase master would do to the amp. After getting the Antidote, I kind of wish it had a switch like that vintage/modern switch on that amp. I think that would bring some more of that "Krang" back into the amp for another flavor of that Marshall tone. That combined with another master to control it a bit could be the best thing ever. No complaints though. And pedals, it's the bomb.

The ppimv on my combo works great! Really opens up a lot of tones at tolerable volume levels.

No complaints though. And pedals, it's the bomb. I'm going to try my Power Station MKII with it, but I found that the Air Brake sounds just as good as the Power Station on my Z-Wreck. And about the Tube Driver, it really is a strange beast. I had one of the small box bumblebee looking ones back in the '90s and sold it, then after getting inspired by David Gilmour I got one of the "official" ones from B.K. Butler, the 4 knob with bias control by the jacks. It's never really worked for me until I tried it with the EMS. Like you say, it's all about the combinations, which are endless.

Like you say, it's all about the combinations, which are endless. This is how I rationalize having so many boosts, overdrives and distortion pedals. And fuzzes
