Very nice! I’m interested in the noise cancellation as well.

Very nice! I’m interested in the noise cancellation as well. Yeah, I'm excited to see how it works. I've had hum free single coils in a strat and P90's before and didn't really care for them. They seemed sort of neutered sounding. So being able to use normal pickups is a big bonus. I'm not super sensitive to the hum, so if it removes any that's cool with me.

Yeah, Suhr's noise-cancellation is about the best setup you can find. It uses a dummy-coil elsewhere under the pickguard (Anybody hear about the "smuggler's Tele"? It's like that.) which means the pickups themselves are REAL plain single-coils, and not humbucking. Well... they become humbucking, anyway, once they're combined inversely with that dummy coil (which picks up similar hum from the room, but no guitar signal). FWIW, I believe Suhr's system is effectively similar to the Ilitch "Back Plate Noise Canceling System" (aka. BPNCS).

That's awesome! I'm a recent convert to roasted maple necks. I traded for a Music Man Cutlass RS HSS. it's got a light metallic silver/blue finish, but it looks like sonic blue like yours in pics. I'll post a pic when I can.

I'll post a pic when I can. Yeah, Music Man has great necks. I've never had a roasted one from them, but thier regular maple necks are great. I imagine the roasted ones are even better. I've had a few of the EVH models back in the day, and a Petrucci more recently. Great guitars. I have a roasted maple neck/board on my Tom Anderson and it's awesome. Rock solid and stable, I'm expecting this one to be the same. The body of this one is roasted also (alder). That's a first for me. From what I gather it's similar benefit to the roasted necks, dry and movement free.

I find the Music Man neck to be a little narrower and thinner than I prefer, but the oil and gun wax finish feels incredible!

Beautiful Nicholas!
It’s similar to the Classic Paulownia in Shell Pink I was looking at a few months back. Funny, I don’t think I realized at the time these guitars had that noiseless system May have to go back on the radar.

My new Suhr showed up Wednesday evening. So I've had a few days with it, and was able to really get acquainted with it today as I had the day off. It's impressive! I've never heard anything but good things about Suhr guitars regarding quality, and I've got nothing but good to say about it! The fretwork is meticulous, same level as my Tom Anderson which is the best I've ever experienced and with the frets being stainless steel, they will most likely out last me. Overall it's just a great playing and sounding guitar. I'm still not totally sure on how the SSCII noiseless pickup system works. There really isn't much written about it, or on the Suhr website. So I emailed them asking for a little info on it, just out of curiosity. This is what they said " The SSCII is our proprietary passive system for noise cancelation. It would not be a pickguard-based system, like the ilitch system. But it is based on a low-inductance system tailored for our pickups, but it can work with other true single coil pickups as well. Hope this information will be helpful.Cheers!" So I guess I don't know how it works, but I can say that it does work. It's completely silent from any hum. I even plugged it into my gained up 50w rock amp on a 412 cab. It's no louder than any humbucker guitar which is awesome! So whatever they are doing to make normal single coils so quiet is apparently top secret NASA sh!t and super effective!

Thanks! I'm learning a little about using a t-type guitar. I've found I use the tone control more than on my other guitars. I usually always left the tone control all the way up and just used the volume control. With the Tele the tone control seems more useful. Lots of different shades of tone with it. It sounds great all the way up for cleans and on the edge of breakup stuff. I like it rolled back a bit with some overdrive or distortion. Really works great to dial it in.

I'm really digging this guitar. I think a Les Paul will always be my no 1 choice for hard rock, but for everything else this tele is fantastic. I'm really liking the extra headroom for clean tones with small amps. It plays and sounds so beautiful, even with me playing it All the pickup positions sound great. Probably no surprise to the tele fans here, but I'm sort of caught off guard with some of the classic rock and Texas blues tones it can pump out. Great all rounder!

That thing is gorgeous! Love the neck flame, and the color is one of my favs. I've always loved the sound of single coil pickups but the hum drives me nuts. Glad to hear that Suhr has that under control, congrats on a sweetheart of a guitar!
