I bought this D'Addario Micro Tuner for $13 on Amazon and was surprised how excellent the design is. This thing is small and tucks away nicely behind the headstock, takes up little real estate, and turns on instantly. The head swivels so you can turn the display to face you and the letter and bars can be flipped with the touch of a button to orient it right side up. The clamp is secure too. I only play at home, but it's nice to be able to pick up the guitar and not have to plug it in or open the tuner app on my phone to tune up. After trying it for a while, I bought another for my other guitar. Micro Tuner

D'Addario has been making a version of this tuner for violins for some time. At least a couple of years. I wondered how long it would be before they made one to fit a guitar headstock. The tuning function for the violin version works well but the thing I really like about it is the metronome function. It mounts right in front of your face. You can play while focusing on reading the music and it sets there in your peripheral vision.

Been using them a long time...newer one i hope is better in bright outdoor situations...older ones kind of washout/hard to see.

I've got a couple Snarks around, but mostly only use them with my acoustics (and then I take them off immediately after tuning--I'm on of those guys who doesn't like having them on there while playing).
I've been tempted lately, though, to try the new PRS clip-on tuner since it's got a built-in rechargeable battery. (I'm not sure if that new D'Addario has this or not?) The CR2032 batteries in the Snark don't necessarily die instantly & all the time; however, I feel like I'd rather just plug it in for a bit when it gets weak rather than have to keep hunting down coin batteries.

I have quite a few other devices that use the CR2032 so I always have a supply on hand. The unit will turn itself off after 10 minutes which saves battery life. Also, the body of the tuner is really small, 1.5"x .50"x 1". I barely notice it.
