I’ve been playing small combos for the last 10 years Deluxe Reverb, Reverberocket, Magnatone Tonemaster) but I got the bug for a Marshall type amp.
After looking at a few different Germino’s I remembered how awesome my Route 66 had been. So I cruise over to the Doc’s website and see it’s been discontinued. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I sold mine in 2007 because it wasn’t right for the gig I had and I hated seeing it collect dust. Mistake
I’m sure the Doc had his reasons but it’s a bummer nonetheless to see one of my all time favorite amps not being made anymore. Well, looks like I’ll be in the used market soon.

I'm clearly more out of the loop than I thought. I was not familiar with this model at all

I see used Rte 66 amps for sale on the interweb regularly. There's one on Reverb right now for about $845 and one for $1,250 at Music Go Round in Pennsylvania.

With all the new amps Doc has released he's had to eliminate those that had waning sales. BTW - you can buy a new Route 66 directly from Doc (it's a Legacy Model) and I believe he was selling them for their last retail price.
