I am having G.A.S. for a Z-Wreck Jr. In order to get it I would have to give up an amp(it would keep peace in the house and I don't really have the physical room.) I have narrowed it down to either my Ghia or Maz 8. Which should I give up? Should I give up anything? I have also posted this on the Maz 8 and Z-Wreck Jr pages.

It's hard to say which one YOU should give up. I don't know anything about tones you like, or if you're primarily home/recording or if you play gigs....etc.
And an additional reason why I don't want to pick one...is because I don't want it to appear that any of Doc's amps are 'less' than others. It would be too easy for someone to say "Get rid of the '_____'". And that would imply it's not a good amp. But it could be good for someone else's situation.
Doc goes to great lengths to build amps with high quality parts, high quality build with great tone...etc. Some don't sell as well as others, but that happens, but you do your best to build what you think the market will buy....and make some money without compromising quality.
Only you can pick the one you sell, we can't help you. Sorry, I don't mean to be a downer, but I'm always concerned I may accidentally talk poorly of one of Doc's amps...just because it doesn't fit my style.

All are great sounding amps. Don't ask me if you should get rid of one - you can guess my answer. However, the Finance guy in me would ask how important is it to contribute $$ to the new amp? If $$ is key, you'd get an extra $150 - $200 for the Maz 8 vs. the Ghia if all things about condition/issues are equal.

Have you ever thought about adding on to your house? If you don't have room then maybe its time to invest in some industrial racking.
EVERYBODY NEEDS A GHIA!

Jaguarguy asks
"What is this 'give up an amp' thing you speak of?"

When I was looking to make a similar decision between a Maz 18 and Ghia I not only considered which was more versatile (because obviously the amp with the bigger eq section is going to do that for you), but I wondered how close I could get the Maz to the tone I most liked from the Ghia. I'm not claiming that you can get a Maz to do everything a Ghia can, but I got pretty close to the Ghia tone I most liked with the Maz 18 and decided to keep the Maz. I'm not sure if with the range of the Maz 8 or the way you like to use your Ghia if this is a helpful test or not. As others have said, these are all great amps so it has more to do with how you plan to use them. For instance, you may decide that because the Wreck Jr has the fuller tone stack that you don't need that option with the Maz 8 and decide on the two knob goodness of the Ghia.

Figured out a way to keep everything and fit it into my now much smaller space! Fortune smiled upon me!
