Hi - I have a 2009 Maz Jr that is making an odd reverb sound. The sound is a kind of a "computer data" whine (not just a hum or static) when I turn up the verb. My amp is a head/cab setup, converted from a combo. So the space is pretty tight in the head. However, I have tried taking the reverb tank out of the head and even rotating it around to see if that influences the noise. No difference. I tried using a spare 12ax7 in V3 and it was the same, indicating the AT7 in V3 was ok. I've not tried swapping V4 yet. I pulled the verb tank out and gently touched a spring and got the expected noise. I tried reversing the leads to the tank - they were indeed correctly plugged in. There are no cel phones nearby...
Thoughts?

There was a similar post a few weeks ago where Alexa or Siri were in the same room as the amp and it was causing noise. Other than that you've ruled out most other issues so maybe someone else has another idea.

Do you have a smart thermostat nearby? Mine will make a noise like you are describing periodically. Admittedly it is not constant but on occasion when it does some kind of update. Also my wife has these Bluetooth LED lights for her fish tanks that will make noise that the amp picks up on occasion as well. There are so many connected devices these days that it can be hard to think of everything!

There's nuthin' smart about this place! But the whining noise stopped today, which may just indicate some device or wall wart or who knows what is transmitting interference. There was some hiss if I cranked the reverb, which is totally expected.
