I have an upcoming NGD! As long as UPS tracking is right, possibly as early as tomorrow. I have an Eastman SB56NGD on the way. A beautiful Gold Top with Dual Lollar P90's. I'll post actual pictures when she arrives, but here's a link to the Reverb listing. link

I came very close to picking up one of those to go with my Eastman T59V (335). Really look forward to your thoughts. Love mine!

I've heard lots of good things about Eastmans. Looking forward to your review.

Thanks y'all! Well here she is! I haven't had much of a time to do much yet. But have plugged in and played a bit. First of all, I can tell there is a huge attention to detail. Absolutely no where near having any fret sprout. The edges of the fretboard are as smooth as can be. The weight is perfect. Still has that solid LP feel but not too heavy. I believe it weighs in around 8.6 pounds. The pickup selector is smooth and solid without being too stiff. The Lollar P90's are excellent. Nice and creamy like you expect a P90 to be. They also LOVE fuzz. Then the case is better than any modern Gibson case out there that I have seen. I'll be stringing her up tonight with "my" strings and will spend some more time with her tomorrow. Here's some pictures though: 20210305_185115 by Johnathan, on Flickr 20210305_185151 by Johnathan, on Flickr 20210305_185131 by Johnathan, on Flickr 20210305_185205 by Johnathan, on Flickr 20210305_185220 by Johnathan, on Flickr

Also forgot to mention that the setup is darn near perfect, straight out of the box. Was just looking at the COA they provided with it and she has the same birthday as me!! October 23rd. Almost like it was meant to be! Ha!

Looks like a great guitar! I love my Eastmans - excellent playing and sounding guitars. Yeah, I definitely see that they are essentially Gibson custom shop quality (or better) at lower than Gibson Standard pricing. Definitely good QC there. This was one of the first guitars that I've had in a while where there was no even hint of fret sprout. The edges of the fretboard were nice and smooth and the set up was perfect.

I'll probably try to get some video of some of the tones at least this weekend.

I'd read some stuff online about people having problems with the frets but I've got two Eastmans and I've had zero fret issues with either. They're stellar guitars in every respect. Enjoy that fine guitar!!

As promised here is a video of some of the tones from the Eastman. Please forgive my extremely sloppy and crappy guitar playing. Trust me my playing doesn't do it justice. This was essentially the guitar into my Cure, only with a Hudson Electronics Sidecar for the drive tones toward the end. Definitely a great guitar though.
