In my front room right now, I've got my CAZ-45, Z-Lux, EZG-50 (JBL 15") Cure, and my little Studio Cab 10" Ghia. I fired all of them up earlier and went around the room plugging into them all.
I had to write another 'WOW' thread about the Ghia, it holds its own so well with all these other terrific amps. Such a fat, ballsy tone from such a little light combo. Truly an amazing amp and destined to go down in amplifier history as one of the greatest ever.

I got my Ghia out a couple of weeks ago. It is such a great amp and simple. I believe Steve (bent top) coined it "two knobs and the truth"!

The Ghia is one of the few amps that in my opinion doesn’t give up much if anything being housed in a 1x10 cab. I have one with a 10” Red Fang and another with a 10” Greenback. Between the two they pretty much cover the spectrum. They may not be all that light but they sure are a handy size!

The Ghia Rules! If I could ever get my hands on a V1 Mazerati I would by it. The Two knobs and the truth thing is real, it either sounds great or it doesn't and this amp sounds great. Change a speaker or a tube but once you find it, it glorious!

Which are both great amps i'm sure. I think of things this way, the guys that grew up on the 70's and 80's look back to the gear that was used by their hero's and remember the days when they could get that stuff for penny's on the dollar. I'm in my early 40's and growing up in the 90's and coming to age in the early 2000's look back fondly on the gear that I wanted when I was thumbing through the magazines and going to concerts. I have been through my collecting phase and it got hard just having stuff laying around that I may or may not use. I really like Z's and the earlier Z's hold that "Functional Nostalgia" card for me.
Lucky for me and Dr. Z he keeps hitting it out of the park and more players keep finding him. I'm just hoping for some cast offs to come my way so I can enjoy them. I might even have to flip for what ever the new MKII Z28 is going to be called. That one sounds right up my alley.
