I know, probably not. I assume the entire chassis is opposite, but figured I would ask. I have a head and 1x12 and I'm finding a combo would be a better solution for my current needs. Thoughts?

You just have to acquire a combo cab from someone like mathercab.com. Or maybe you can find someone here on the forum that would like to do a swap. That happens frequently. As far as the chassis goes, they are the same. I also believe the faceplate is printed on the backside for the other type cabinet orientation. It might be cheaper just to find someone who wants to trade complete amps +/- some cash.
And welcome.

Yep, just take the faceplate off and use the other side - it is inverted for "the other" orientation.

I recommend Mather. They made a head cab for me that looks and fits perfectly.

If you’re interested in a blonde 112 combo, I’m planning on rehousing into a studio. PM and we can discuss details.

I did just the opposite!
It's very easy and the faceplate is printed on both sides, one side for a combo the other for a head, so it's reversible.
I took my Maz chassis out of the 1x12 combo cab and put it into my Stingray head, super easy. Hardest part was mounting the reverb (if you have reverb) in the correct position/orientation to eliminate hummmmm.

I recommend Mather. They made a head cab for me that looks and fits perfectly. I'll endorse Mather as well. I had a 2x10 cab done for my MAZ Jr and it was excellent; pine lumber construction, ply baffle. Price was reasonable as well.

Hi all, just returning to this thread. I have to figure out how to turn on email notification. So, you are saying I could remove the knobs and washers/screws and pull the faceplate and the other side has printed the "correct" orientation if I was to mount this in a combo cab? Also you are stating Mather could build me a combo cab that would fit the Maz 18 perfectly? I actually REALLY like the studio cab I have heard with the Jetta and Cure, but would consider Mather top notch build as well of course. I do also like the idea of both options!

The quote I got from him in December was for $350 shipped on a Maz studio cabinet. Really reasonable, he has all the specs for the studio. He also does bare wood cabs that are gorgeous. If you’ve seen the Milkman Amps in walnut, those are made by Mather. Not cheap. Imagine a Maz in a cab like this, hard to justify $650 on a cab upgrade, but it sure would be sexy:

If you're still wanting to do that, I have the combo and want to make mine into a head. I'd be willing to swap cabs if we can work out the details. We'd need to discuss shipping and whether or not you have a speaker cab to trade or if I'd need to find one. PM me. No need to swap amps, because the faceplates have the combo version on one side and head version on the other.
