Trying to decide between the Z-Plus and the Nova. Playing 60's to 90's Rock & Roll, Blues, Country. Have been playing through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue for years, but want something new. I play Strats and Teles. I've only been able to try a Nova and a Cure. Really liked the Nova, but no one in my area has a Z-Plus to try. I like that the Z-Plus has Reverb built in. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. (I'm posting this under both amps in the forum)
Thanks!!!

If you had a chance to play the Nova then you had a feel for the tone and response.
The Z-Plus is could fulfill the role of a Hot Rod Deluxe, the reverb is very nice. The amp is a great all around harmonic jewel. I'm playing mine now.
If I didn't have a Maz 38 MKII I would own a Nova. I like the big power with a great MV.
The Z-Plus will blow the DRRI out of the water with power and articulating tone, VS., great power and blooming articulating tone of the Nova.
If it's one or the other without a price difference, I would go for more power.

I was kind of leaning toward the Nova. Extra power with a great master volume is appealing. It would have been nice to try both of them together, but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon. Thanks!

I would say Nova but admit to being biased towards it because I just bought one on Black Friday...but I am totally loving everything about it. Multiple rehearsals and a couple gigs in with it and it has been great.
I was in a similar position to where I was between the Nova and the Wreck Jr and even had a Boogie Fillmore 25 on my radar. Wasn't able to try any of the 3 but something about the Nova just really appealed to me, as far as the specs and the demos I was hearing. So glad I took a chance on it, turned out to be everything I wanted. Half the time I don't even realize what channel I'm on since the normal channel breaks up as beautifully as the overdrive channel cleans up...either alone would be a sweet amp, to have it foot-switchable is a gigging guitarists dream. I use a Dispatch Master for subtle delay and reverb, so having reverb in the amp doesn't matter to me. I'm coming from using a Ghia for years, so less is more...the Nova has just the right amount of features while still being simple, just a huge killer tone from clean to mean.
I'm sure the Wreck Jr is great too (as is the Z-Plus I'm guessing), but I haven't had any second thoughts at all. Totally satisfied with my decision. I liked it from the jump but was careful not to gush over it too much in the beginning, wanted to live with it for a bit and get to know it and feel it out before heaping praise and whatnot...but with weekly rehearsals and the few gigs mentioned (2 more this weekend) I've been able to play it with the band close to a dozen times so far and it impresses me each time. Safe to say it's a winner at this point. I'd give it a shot, you really can't go wrong.

I love my Nova. Just keep the OD channel on and ride the GV. Great tone!

Thanks for the feedback, I went with the Nova. Nice. I’d call it a “win-win” situation...may as well win big tho. Congratulations...Keep us posted
