I'm learning to build amps, currently building the Allen Amplification Classic 10 kit. I like many of the Dr. Z and Mather combo cabinets & empty heads people sell on Ztalk from time to time. Plus, my Maz 38 MkII 1x12 combo cabinet is amazing, so I know they're just great cabinets.
Question: Do Z chassis sizes correspond to any other "standard" chassis sizes? For example, Carmen Ghia = Princeton Reverb, Maz = Deluxe Reverb, etc.? Are there chassis I can buy from Mojotone that will fit into Dr. Z combos cabinets & empty heads?
It seems if I want to start building my own amp designs, the easiest route is probably to stick with Fender chassis sizes, but take inspiration from Z, Marshall, etc. in the circuit design. And order custom from Mather Cabs if I need something nice or sized specifically.

I was in a similar place and I chose to create my own standard size chassis, and I had Mather build a couple of Head cabinets to match. I found that I don't really like the Princeton Chassis because of the angled face, but it is a solid chassis to work from. Looking forward to seeing some photos. BV
