I am a long term Maz 18NR owner (2008 upgraded to MK II), which is my main gigging amp in a classic rock cover and original band. However, I love the Marshall sound and can’t bring my 1/2 Stack Marshall Vintage Modern to most gigs because it is to heavy and scares people. I decided to pull the trigger on a Remedy and I am blown away by the tones!
This thing totally rocks. I mainly play a Gibson R8 LP and they were made to be together. I have a MV version with the tone bypass switch. It really does the Plexi thing well but at usable volumes. Has that thick tone I love. Playing it right now through a Marshall 4x12 with Greenbacks and it is tone heaven! I am just using my Tumnus Deluxe to drive it and found I don’t need more pedals to get all the tones I need. Cleans up with my GV nicely as well. I am still exploring the settings but hard to get a bad sound out of this thing.
I am definitely going to bring it to my next gig and switch between both Z’s for full tonal flexibility. Cannot wait until COVID is over to get this thing out there. Until then it stays in my basement and I take it through it’s paces at least once per day. Sounds great with my Tele also.
Cheers Mark

Remedy is a good rocking amp! I have the same version and use a BrakeLite as well for tonal and volume control. So many tones. Loves boost pedals. Try a treble booster! Was good with my R8, now I have a R7BB Custom (all mahogany) and I love it more! ME

You probably don't want to be hauling that 4x12 around to gigs. I would recommend looking for a 1x12 with a convertible/removable back. Depending on how loud you play....if you don't play at thunderous volumes, you could get away with a single greenback. (25 watt rating. You'd be pushing that speaker quite a bit, it will do it's natural breakup and compression.
If you play louder, consider a Creamback-M ...it's a high powered greenback.
Or you could just get the Creamback-M and call it a day. (That's what I did)

Welcome to Remedy Land, and congrats on your great amp. I was also using my Remedy an Maz both at the same time for quite long (R7 included) and it was amazing. A Gold will be great too, but I ended up using the Alnico in the Maz and two G12M Creambacks with the Remedy. It was TONE HEAVEN. If Steve ‘benttop’is still hanging around, he’s got a great pic of his Remedy/Maz rig, a pic to love. Enjoy your tonal trip. Tons of tone!!

There are several speaker-cab manufacturers out there nowadays making 1x12 cabs that are specifically targeted at achieving that old 4x12 sound. (I know, I know... you can't perfectly replicate the sheer speaker baffle area--it's physics. But hey, it's 2020.) Off the top of my head, I know that MESA/Boogie had or has one, and so does/did Divided by 13. There might be others.
