I'm sure many of you have dealt with this. I have two open spots for 18V pedals from my power supply. What pedals are you all running at 18V? (other than OCD). I'm running a Talisman on another board at 18V although I'm only doing that to get another pedal on the board. I know many Catalinbread pedals run at 18V including the Katzenkonig which I'm considering. Others I've been looking at are the Cali76 or Empress Compressor, Mad Professsor Little Green Wonder and Weehbo Hellfire. I'm not limiting to dirt boxes and compressors. I could always bump something off of my board. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a flanger. That's a possibility.

Barber Gain Changer or Direct Drive. I don't run mine at 18V (although you can) but I do run them at 12V...

With a lower output guitar like a Tele or Strat I don't notice any difference between 9 and 18 volts. Only with higher output guitars do I think it helps. That is one of the reasons all of my humbucker pickups are relatively low output. I don't get a drastic change when switching between guitars. Almost all OD pedals were designed to run fine on 9 volts. One place I do notice a difference is when stacking pedals. I run a Barber Direct Drive as my Marshall-style pedal and I boost that with a TS type pedal (currently a Clarksdale) just like you might do a Marshall amp. The DD seems to work a little better at a higher voltage when boosted. I'm using 15 volts from an Xotic Voltage Doubler.

I don't have a flanger. That's a possibility. I have an old, gray box MXR Flanger that I love and the EVH is very close in sound to it. Closest one I've run across, including the gray MXR reissue and the MXR Micro Flanger. Highly recommended!

Cali76 here too, also I’ve settled on running my Prince of Tone at 18v too.
