I bought a Celestion Blue this week and was going to replace the speaker in my Maz 18 but I couldn't get it to release from the back of the baffle. Anybody else have this problem (I am guessing the gasket simply glued itself over time)? If so how did you get it out?

I’ve read in the past to try heating it up with a hair dryer.

A little heat will help but just keep applying backward pressure while rocking the speaker gently side to side.
It’ll break loose.

i would try a short flat blade screw driver ( 2 if you have them ) With the blade edge on the baffle, apply upward pressure to the underside of the frame at the screw hole locations. Since this is where the gasket is narrowest, if you apply slight pressure simultaneously at two of the four hole areas and then the opposite two back and forth, it should release. I did say slight by the way.

I use a putty knife. I think you will find that when you get one small section to release, then the rest will pop loose with no problem.
