I've been paring down my electric rig (don't worry, I'm keeping my Maz 18) and getting ready to trade in my Martin OOO-28. Even though I'm mostly playing acoustic when I'm at church these days, I never pick it up at home because I'm not a fan of the short scale. It's a custom shop and selling some other gear has me in a position to get something nice. This has opened the door to the possibility of a Huss and Dalton or a Bourgeois.
As I've been looking at these makers there are doing a number of their guitars with large sound holes. I understand what that does and why they would build in that way. What I'm wondering is what it does to feedback if you put a pick up in there and play live. Anyone have experience with a larger sound hole acoustic? Did you wire it up and if so did it feedback more?
(I also really like Collings, and have played a couple that were amazing. I'm trying to resist the temptation of getting something online, and that likely takes them out. There aren't any deals near me.)

Also look into Boucher, Collings and Santa Cruz acoustics! both are great brands...
