Turned on my cure yesterday and it was humming. No guitar plugged in. If i turn the stanby switch to the off position it shut off. As it warmed up it became more faint but still present.
Maybe this is my first tube amp so I dont exactly know what to expect. I also turned down all the knobs and tried them one at a time. Turning the master it would come at 7-8 oclock.
Im going to warm it up again and test it. Ill report back.

Here's a link to Doc's Troubleshooting Video (one of his AMAs - "AskMeAnything"). Definitely worth the watch.

Amps have some hum or Noise Floor as it is termed.

Turned on my cure yesterday and it was humming. No guitar plugged in. Was a cord plugged into the input jack with no guitar? This opens the jack and can cause noise. My Cure is very quiet.

I think I found the source of the hum. Need to order tubes.
How do I figure out how to bias?

Doc is making it easier and easier to get great tone with minimal work - especially for owners who are not comfortable setting the bias on tubes. Plug n play!
