HBO 6 part adaptation of Phillip Roth's alternative history novel-what if Charles Lindbergh was a bit more overt in his anti semitism and was the Republican Nominee against FDR in 1940?Episode 2 is the latest and it's well adapted and acted, but I can't help prefering the book, which I love and have read twice, mostly because the parents in the book are so clearly based on Roth's actual parents, and are such strong people of firm moral character and strength, who do their best for the children and each other at all times.I read the book almost as a love letter to his parents, and that doesnt come through the in the show(yet) Still a well done show worth watching.
I am also loving the current season of Better Call Saul,Top Chef, and Westworld

i think i'll try the book now. a few lines really resonate with my own life experiences but this is probably the truest of them "I'm a Jew because I was born a Jew, and this whole freakn' world wishes I wasn't."
