Just picked up a used Z Verb for my Z Wreck Jr. It is the older style and sounds amazing but it does something weird when first turned on. When first switched on there is no reverb for about 15 seconds and the there is a total hum for about 30 seconds that sounds like interference or something. It then makes a pop and works perfectly after that. I figured the no sound is the tubes warming up but can the hum noise be bad tubes? If you turn down the mix the hum isn't there. Seems to only last less than a minute until it's gone. After that it does sound amazing. Any ideas?

It never did that with me....it would warm up and and then run great. I wonder if tubes got jostled in transit and are a bit more iffy now.

There is no standby switch on the Verb, so you should switch it on first, give it 30 seconds to a minute to warm up, then hit standby on your amp and get after it.
