I just got back from a practice with the rock band we are trying to get off the ground, and let me tell you, the Z Wreck Jr ROCKS hard! I took both Les Pauls and had the Volume set at 3:00 which has a ton of gain at that setting. For cleans, I just turned the guitar volume down.
I got a lot of compliments on my tone. The overdrive is so smooth and dynamic. Even at high gain!
So, don’t let all the folks who use this amp for Country music fool you. It can do both very well and everything in between. It kicks butt!

I forgot to state that I also showed the band just how dynamic this amp is. I put the volume at noon and show them just how much pick attack affected the feel of the amp. They were pretty amazed at the dynamic range. They were also amazed at just how LOUD it is. I told them about the "Z watts" that come with all Z amps.
It was a great experience. The amp cut right through the mix and I was confident in the ability of this amp to deliver.
So, all of you who are on the fence, throw the doubts out. Get your name on the list!

absolutely agree... I have been using mine with a band that plays Rush, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc... does all of that well
