Just glorious. You couldn't ask for a bigger sound, shy of a Marshall 4x12, maybe. Not so much hugely loud as it is full--like all the pleasing parts of the sound spectrum are there. There's a yin/yang completeness to it that's going to make me very happy at our outdoor shows this summer. But here's a question: I'm new to stereo rigs, pretty much, so I don't know all the ins and outs--but if I'm not having a ground-loop issue at home, does this mean I won't have one anywhere? I've got a good A/B/Y pedal with a ground lift that kills ground loops--I guess it would be wise to stick it on my board, just in case.
The other thing about this amp--it's making me love my Tele again. The way it interacts with the Lollar Special-T in the bridge just slays me. Makes me want to learn some chicken pickin licks, fo sho.

EZGbiscuit, maybe? I might've done that one for a spell, I think.

That's a great rig and I've run it live several times. But if you can ever run the Wreck and the DB4 live, it's even better!

I don’t think your lack of ground issues at home is any sort of security for other Gigs. Two key issues are isolation and polarity. They cover it in some detail the first 10 minutes of this clip.
I’ve had my eye on suhr buffer for a while, for this very reason. Looks like they are no longer manufactured though. There are other units that do the same. Maybe yours
If your ABY has isolated outs, you should be fine with ground m. Polarity can be adjusted at the speaker/cab if needed by flipping the +/- leads.

Looks like Radial makes an ABY with polarity switcher and ground lift, so that might be the thing I'm after.

Yeah, I've looked at the radial as well. It has the advantage of selecting to turn on/off, which is nice if you want to select amps on the fly. It's just bigger than the suhr model.

Gigrig also makes a nice-looking pedal. But this raises a question: a good A/B/Y would be fine for running wet/dry, but don't they defeat the purpose of those stereo outs on your delay, etc., pedals?

I'm curious as to where in the chain you've chosen to insert an A/B/Y to split the signal. What effects are before the split? Which are after? Using effects loops at all?
I think one way to use stereo outs is to run wet/dry/wet, but that would be a lot of gear to haul.

What I'd probably do in a wet/dry rig is run straight to the ZW Jr from the A/B/Y, and then run the other out through my board, into the front of the Lux. That keeps everything simple and easy to control. So basically I'd be on the Y setting the whole time, and using a boost to push the Lux for solos. I'd probably run a GS-124 and a delay into it, too, and maybe the occasional mod pedal on a couple of tunes.

I've thought about going fancy with a looper, etc., at some point--I think I'd need a bigger board, a new power supply, and some new r/a cables to really make it go, though, so it's potentially a major investment. Not to mention the time involved in hooking the whole thing up, and then learning to get the most out of it. If I did it, though, I might build it around one of these guys: shopusa.thegigrig.com/g2/
