Man I was just about to purchase a Jetta but now... the Wreck Jr is here! I've never had the opportunity to play either but will soon have the opportunity to take the Jetta for a test. Anyone have an idea of how they might compare tonally?

Anyone have an idea of how they might compare tonally? Jetta is snappy and stout with good headroom and almost hi fi like detail. The ZW JR is soft response, saggy, blooming with harmonics, smoother when driven, and lives in the area between clean and dirty. They are two very different amps.

If only I could afford both! I have the Wreck head and I have the Jetta. They're two great amps but different animals. I can play any gig and cover the same material with either of them. But the Jetta is more of a grab and go amp for me. The master volume and the lightweight of the Jetta make it ideal for smaller gigs where I don't want to bring my DB4, Wreck or Zlux head/cab set up. If I could only have one? I'd go with the Wreck jr. BUT I play a lot of country.

Thanks for the info! I dont play a whole lot of country so I guess that's something to take into consideration too! I wouldn't call the Wreck a country amp. It does the country chime thing really well. BUT it also rocks hard! You have to turn it up to get those killer rock tones and that's where the 1/2 power jr with a master volume comes in. Now you can get those tones at a more manageable stage volume level.
