This is the 2nd Strat (4th guitar) I've put together. I'm extremely happy with - it turned out pretty well and better than I expected. The body is by MJT - I love those guys - they do amazing work. Aged shell pink, broken glass checking (hard to see on the pink unless you're in person) The Neck is by Musikraft - I love these guys too! Amazing job. Nailed all the requested specs and the frets came dressed, crowned and leveled. That's 4 for 4 with them. I'm never using anyone else! I had them leave it raw and sent it to MJT for finishing. They nailed what I wanted, right down to broken glass checking on the headstock. CHOOSE HEAD SHAPE: CBS ORIENTATION: Right for Right Handed Players SCALE LENGTH: 25.5 Standard Fender NUMBER OF FRETS: 21 Fret NUT WIDTH: 1-5/8 (41.28mm) HEEL WIDTH: 2-3/16 (55.56mm) Standard Fender TUNER HOLE SIZE: 10 MM F Tuner TRUSS ROD TYPE: Dual Acting with Vintage Double Slotted Adjustment Nut at the Heel FB RADIUS: Compound 10 to 14 12TH DOT SPACING: Wide (Vintage Pre 64) NUT SLOT STYLE: 1/8 Standard Fender Flat Bottom Style SHAFT WOOD: Quarter Sawn Maple FB WOOD: QuarterSawn Maple FB STYLE: Slab Standard Fender TOP DOTS & INLAY: Black Plastic BINDING: None SIDE DOTS: Black 2mm SIDE DOT LOC: Centered on Finger Board Wood (Slab Style Only) FRET WIRE SIZE: 6100 Stainless Steel FB EDGES: Semi Rolled Standard BACK PROFILE: Fat U 90 99 FINISH: Raw (No Warranty) FB FINISH: Raw (I will apply my own) MOUNTING HOLES: Drill Holes Standard Fender Pattern The pickups are a set of Bare Knuckle Mother's Milks. Digging them so far. The trem is Callaham (I actually ordered a different trem - but I foolishly ordered the wrong string spacing. I had the Callaham waiting for a future project so I decided to use it here. It truly is immaculately machined and returns to pitch amazingly well. CTS Pots, wired by me: I think that's everything! Let me know if I forgot something. I know - I need some glamour shots too!

Outstanding!!
When I think about pickups Mother's Milk doesn't come to mind, I have heard of Bare Knuckles though.
I really dig it.

Love the relic'd Shell Pink. I've been tempted to do a build of the Harrison rosewood tele but probably never will. Seeing projects like yours turn out so well always tempts me though.

And I’d encourage you to do it. There is something about assembling your own guitar. I feel like I know it personally.

And I’d encourage you to do it. There is something about assembling your own guitar. I feel like I know it personally. I may do it some day but I've become a firm believer that: - A "keeper" guitar is more than the sum of its parts.
- Unless it's a keeper, you will only be able to unload it at a huge loss, regardless of the quality of the parts.
I'm a long time woodworker and have all the tools and experience, I just can't get past the two issues above.
I just noticed that this is my 2,000th post. Never thought I'd reach that when I joined back in 06. Such a great forum devoted to great amps but the people are the best part. I viewed and posted here even during those years I was Z-less.

This guitar has all the best of everything, MJT body, Musikraft neck, electronics. It looks beautiful and likely sounds and plays equally well. I’d say a keeper for sure, up there with any Fender CS strat but without the $4,500 price tag.

Outstanding!! When I think about pickups Mother's Milk doesn't come to mind, I have heard of Bare Knuckles though. I really dig it. The name comes from the Red Hot Chili Peppers album of the same name. The pickup tones are supposed to be similar to the ones that John Frusciante was using on that album. I’d say they’ve done a tremendous job nailing that tone (which is exactly what I was looking for!).

Excellent!! "Franken Steinocaster"......Love that!! Yup - I’m obviously not trying to fool anybody! Plus, if anybody asks, I’m proud of the fiddles I’ve cobbled together.

Very cool! Great job.
I feel ya on putting your own guitar together. I’ve modded most of my Fender style instruments in one way or another. I put together a Tele several years ago and it turned out great, but the neck was a little too fat for me. I ended up selling it for a fair price which was surprising!
Again, great looking piece~
