I just watched most of the Dead and Company Wrigley Field June 2019 concert. John Mayer played a PRS with three humbucking pickups, but not his signature model, Silver Sky. I wonder why that is? I would like to try one, but I’m put off by the 7.25” fretboard radius.
Do any of my Z-Talk friends have a Silver Sky?

I’m still interested in the Silver Sky, but I don’t know anyone who has one. Following.

That was the first quitar that PRS built for him that led to the Silver Sky collaboration. If I recall that guitar was a limited run......and pricey.

Thank you, but this one is different from the Super Eagle.

Does his PRS choice have more to do with trying to get the Jerry Garcia tone with the humbuckers?

This guitar has a PRS Narrowfield pup on the middle. Paul has built a few guitars for him.

I don't know if I can play the 7.25"...but I refuse to. I'd probably already have ordered a Silver Sky if it were 9.5" (being a fanboi and all).

I finally had the chance to try a Silver Sky in a shop out in CA a bit ago - meant to post about it and realized I forgot.
Great guitar - the most "stratty" strat I had played in awhile. Great balanced tone across all pups. I was impressed. Felt great too. One came up on CL before my move and I almost reached out and it was gone in 4 hours. Ah well.
