The first part of the video shows the amp has a low hum even with volume all the way down and no instrument plugged (it's hard to hear in the video) The second is the hum when my strat is plugged in, I know single coils can be noisy but with other amps when I play you can't hear that hum, you can hear it on this amp whether I'm playing or not.
Normal not normal? I'm new at this so I'm worried about my first big amp purchase. Things I've tried: Different wall plug, turned off wireless and lights etc in room with amp, different cable, hum continues. Thanks for any help.

OK all is well, changed the cab and the noise went away... kinda weird.

All I heard was normal hiss from the amp being almost 1/2 way up. Then the 60 cycle hum of single coil pickups. All normal.

the low hum in the beginning is normal for that amp. the other hum sounds like when you have a guitar oriented a certain way near an amp. cords, phones, lights, etc affect that too.

OK all is well, changed the cab and the noise went away... kinda weird. chassis screws were probably a little loose. This effects how tight chassis is sealed to the shielding on the cab. great amp!

There also may have been hum caused by the telephone too close to the amp (ask me how I know this? )
