So, I played a gig in Atlanta this past weekend and played my Z Wreck for the first time with the band. I set My Z Lux up with it in case I wanted to run them together and sometimes switch between them to see how they compare. I have to say I was digging the Z Lux more than the Wreck. I know I’m more familiar with the Lux and how to set it but I was really thinking the Wreck would out shine the Lux. Don’t get me wrong, the Wreck sounds incredible but for the classic rock that we were playing the Lux just seemed to fit better. I was playing a PRS DGT and a 594 so I think I may try my tele with the Wreck next time. Any of you have similar experiences between the two?

You sir have an amazing set up by the sounds of it. Any chance we could see some pictures with those beautiful guitars? What cabs are you running with the Lux/Wreck?

Same findings here....I prefer to use single coil guitars (mostly teles) with my Z-Wreck. My Z-lux seems less picky...

The blue (598 I believe) is gorgeous. Nice choice in running the Strymon Flint 👍🏼. Can’t say I didn’t double take at the bagel on top Of the Z-Wreck 🥯

I've ran the exact same rig multiple times. Sometimes the Wreck sounds "better" and sometimes it is the Z-lux. I don't know why!

Nice rig! Do you normally leave it on the front porch? Lol! Jk!

I’m gonna be running a very similar set up and I have a very “new guy” question. If I run the lux combo into the standard 1x12 extension cab and i wanna run both speakers, what ohm do I run into the head? My guess is if both speakers are 8ohm this would be parallel thru the brakelite and I’d think I’d need to run 16ohm out of the amp to the brakelite then to both speakers. Am I close or way off? Any help be greatly appreciated. I DO NOT wanna burn my rig up! PLEASE HELP!

Use the 4 ohm tap on the amp.

I'm looking forward to doing more single-coil stuff with the Wreck Jr. My Strats are feeling neglected lately.
