Hi everybody and thank you for admitting me to the forum. I have a question due to a problem with my Maz 18 from 2008. It blew a series of fuses in the 2amp position probably because the rect and power tubes are in bad conditions. So I am changing them, but since I am running out of fuses, I'd like to know: which exact type of fuses do I have to buy for my amp? There's the ,5amp and the 2amp spot on the back of the amp and I'd like to know the characteristic, description and number, serial, whatever for both spots to be as accurate as possible in buying them. I know that they should be 250V, but are they 500mA? Any help and detailed answer is highly appreciated! Important thing: I am based in Europe, so any suggestion on how to find a good dealer here? Thank you so much for your availability and looking forward to hearing from you. Happy music y'all! Pol.

You're in Europe, so you are probably using 240 volts house (mains) current, right? It would be prudent to contact the shop and ask them. Here's the email to Don in Dr.Z repair: drzrepairs@gmail.com Don's a great guy and he'll set you straight. If you're using 120 volts house current you would use a 2 amp slo-blo 250 volt fuse, and whatever the label says for the high voltage fuse. The later Maz 18 amps only have one fuse.
Also go here, drzamps.com/info/faq-troubleshoot/ for great troubleshooting information. Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

If you pull them out (when your amp is powered off) it should tell you what they are on them, something like "MDL 250v/ 500ma", it should be etched into the metal surrounds at one of the ends of the fuse. I would assume both are of the Slow Blow type (or Time Delayed).

Hey guys!
thank you so much for the answers!
I didn't receive any email regarding that, so I apologise for the delay of my answer.
What you say make sense, what I am not understanding is if I need 2 different types of fuses for slot ,5amp and slow 2amp.
I'll write an email to Don to ask precisely.
Have a great weekend playing' your Mazzy!!!

Hi guys.
It's me once again. I hope you are fine and playin' your amazing Maz😊
I fortunately solved the problem by changing the tubes, but I wrote to Don to ask about the fuses and got no answer😕Probably my gmail email went to the spam🙄Anyone can contact him?
I really need this information since I am running out of fuses and would like to buy a bunch of them🤔
Thank you once again for your availability and looking forward to hearing from you🙏🏻
Best, Pol.

You DO need different type fuses for those two. The .5 amp fuse will be correct regardless of what type of voltage you plug your amp into, but the 'Primary' or line fuse will be different. The Dr.Z website got hacked a few months back and the email has changed. Contact repairs at drzrepairs@gmail.com and you should get a reply within one work day.

Hey Dave.
Thank you so much for the info. "The .5 amp fuse will be correct regardless of what type of voltage you plug your amp into, but the 'Primary' or line fuse will be different." I didn't know about this huge difference between the ,5amp and the 2amp apart the ampere type. And didn't know also they got hacked😱😳
Ok, I'll send the email to the new address and hopefully I get some info regarding the fuses.
Thank you once again for your availability and have a great day! Pol.
