That jack looks like it is not a switching type. It makes no difference if you leave it in or remove it. Why would you want to take it out if it is not hurting anything and looks to be a sound installation?

Think the OP is looking for something like a definitive answer that the unit won’t blow his amp if used as-is or if he cuts loose that 2nd output.
Lots of the good folks on this forum have chimed in on the other thread that it “appears” ok to use it or remove. I don’t think anyone is going to say categorically that an attenuator that has been “owner modified” is 100% safe to use.
My advice would be to return it - I don’t think the OP will get the level of comfort he’s after.

Oh, I can totally get a level of comfort if someone that knows the wiring says that it's still wired correctly...I sent the photos to Dr Z this morning and I'm hoping to hear back. I really do appreciate the input here on the situation and I "think" that it's probably fine to use but it's not quite enough to put my mind at ease as nobody really has said that they know that the unit's wiring looks right. Heck, I'd be happy to confirm it's right if I was directed how to check the output with my voltmeter to make sure the load is correct from the main output. It will likely be returned if I can't get solid confirmation. That would be a shame however as I think it would suck if someone else buys it and damages their amp because it's not right. It would be cool to save this one and have it be right as well as not simply passing it off to someone else to deal with or to damage their gear with.

Ooops....tried to delete this thread but only deleted the first thread.
I appreciate the input. I'll pursue this in other ways.
