Those are nice, I wonder about weight.
i know that for $6500 I’ll be waiting a long time.
If I was wealthy I would invest in one and store it away.

My non-weight relieved 50th Anniversary '68 Les Paul Custom weighs 9 pounds flat, pretty good for a solid slab of wood. I saw where some of these were in the 8 1/2 to 9 1/2 pound range somewhere on Sweetwater's site.

Just got my first Les Paul and really only did it because I found a Standard for $400. Figured it would be a flip, but it sounds great. I think I hit it on the first one, and for stupid cheap! The neck is a little skinny, but I think I'm holding on to it. Won't be dropping thousands on any Paul soon. ztalk.proboards.com/post/new/81309

Nice guitar. Not spending multiple K’s on a Lester is an issue. Can be done, but it can be done. Older could be better, however, it depends on what you’re looking for. I like most of the historics, but they are pricey. I like the non-weight relieved builds, but it is difficult to know exactly what you are looking at as Gibson wasn’t great at detailing what the specs for each model were. I have a R57 BB with 3 pu’s Spec for the year was Custom Buckers, but ‘57 Classics seem to be what we’re installed in it. They sound ok, however, I would prefer unpotted pu’s. Still sounds good... Play a few, play lots, find one that speaks to you, then buy. ME
