Huge volume and gain drop when I turned it on today. I think I have a bad tube. It's amazing just how quick tubes give out. I needed to get some new tubes for it anyway. I've been procrastinating because I'm not in a band.

I know you're hip to Doc's troubleshooting tips here: drzamps.com/info/faq-troubleshoot/but I thought I'd link you up anyway. I'm betting it's a tube too. If it's humming as well as losing gain/volume, I'd suspect a power tube first. But I'm thinking more a preamp tube or possibly the rectifier right now. You'll get it!

There's no noise, but a huge volume and gain drop. I suspect V1 may be the culprit.

Not V1, so off to the PI and power tubes. I’ll order them today

All, it was the phase inverter. As soon as I popped it in and turned the amp on, the magic was back! I'll put the new 6L6s in as well because Doc always recommends changing both.

You ought to try KT-77 output tubes in the Therapy, they rock! They bring the amp more forward, give it a little more chime. Great grind too. I love 'em.
