I'm thinking I saw somewhere that the EZG-50 head has come in two different sizes (I think the height was what was mentioned as being different). If this is true was this something that changed at a particular time and what are the details of the size differences and production dates? I'm wanting a cover for my head and see some pre-made for the EZG but want to make sure it will fit my 2011 model. Thanks.

Pretty sure the answer is no. There were two styles but that related to the (I) wooden oval faceplate vs (ii) all grill cloth faceplate.
The he head cab was the same.
p.s. When I think about it the size differences may have come about when Doc switched to the 1/2 inch Italian plywood for the 'Lite' combos. I don't think that would apply to the head.

I believe you are correct Keith.

Ok, I finally ran across where I saw that there were two different EZG-50 head sizes. It's at Studio Slips website. Studio Slips makes amp and cab covers and seems to have most if not all of the Dr. Z items listed. When ordering a cover for this amp they let you pick from either "EZG-50 new 10.75 ht Head" or "EZG-50 old 9.5 ht. Head". My head from April 2011 is about 11" including the feet so I guess that would be the new 10.75 height. www.studioslips.com/models.php?id=40&name=Dr.%20Z
