Hello all...
So I've noticed my remedy has lost a lot of top end/highs recently. Nothing has really changed in my set up. I've changed some overdrives out but noticed it before then. I'm running a 2x12 with a v30 and G12h30 and have been for years. I am now running the tone controls as Bass 9-10 mid -11-12 and the high is dimed. MV close to dimed and bring up the high volume to taste, no bass volume. This is with a tele no less. It just seems as if the crispness is not there as it was before.
I've changed the power tubes with a matched set of JJs and although it sounds better than before just didn't really help the problem. Could a change in preamp tubes help or is there maybe something else going on? I know it would be a cheap try but just curious if anyone else had seen this on their remedy.
Thank you

YES...absolutely. Try changing the preamp tubes.
You might want to take the tubes that are in there...and wiggle them around a bit. They could have oxidized a bit and not letting the full signal through. Better yet, take them out and put them back in. If that doesn't work, try new tubes. Or used tubes that you know to be good.

Try replacing your PI.

Thanks for the responses. I have some tung-sol's ordered that will hopefully be here in a few days. I'll update once they are in.
Thanks again.
