What are the differences you've experienced with the two? I imagine the weight is different but what changes sonically? Thoughts and what do you prefer?

I've never had an opportunity to compare the two side by side but from my experience with other cabinets I know there is a noticeable difference in the low end tone. I prefer the fullness of a larger cabinet.

I love Doc's new lightweight 'standard' cabs. They're way more resonant than the thicker, heavier wooded studio version, and they weigh about the same, it's real close. There's a tighter bottom end; it's fuller and sweeter sounding. Also it's more omnidirectional sounding to my ears. It fills the room better. I'm struggling for adjectives but it is bigger and it sounds bigger! I had a studio cab for my Maz 8 and then I bought a Maz 18NR in the new cab. I was able to A/B compare them and ended up getting a second lightweight cab for it. Now they're twins!

I’ve had both, the studio just cause it’s smaller. Sound wise just depended on my mood.

I have a standard Maz Jr cab. As I get older, I'd love to have the studio for size and weight. That's my two cents.

I would think the Studio cab it more of a focused, point source with the 'Lite' cab being a little more 'dispersed'. I have a Z-Plus 'Lite' cab with AlNiCo Cream.....sweet
