My buddy Daniel is by far one of the best blues guitarists I've played with, and he also has a knack for building/modifying guitars! Usually Strats, but he decided to do a V and he knows how much I love Gibsons, so he brought me this yesterday and said I can play it till I'm sick of it.. That's gonna be a WHILE!! I've never played a guitar this comfortable or this light. I meshed with it immediately. He built the body. The neck comes from a "gothic V" that Gibson did, he stripped the paint off the neck and it feels AMAZING! He dip painted it for the swirl combining Orange, Red, Yellow, Purple, and White The pickguard I'm not sure about the origin. The knobs and the pickups are my favorite part though. The knobs are from an original 1963 Strat which is pretty cool. The pickups are scatterwound, made by a guy right here in Tulsa! The model is called "Winfield" I'm not sure of the guys name, but they sound TEN THOUSAND times better than any PAF style pickups I've played!! Even my Seth Lovers (which I've been using forever) I'll upload sound clips once I figure out how.

Yeah he's a huge Hendrix fan and generally doesn't like guitars to look "normal"

With that awesome paint job I would look at how to mount the pots through the body and lose the pick guard completely. š

Sweet. Would love to see more pictures and would like to hear more specifics on the pickups too.

I think he has done builds for people in the past! I'm not sure though, this is his first swirl job! But I can ask him
