Anyone bought one? I'm thinking about it. Thoughts?

Here's hoping you have a solid strat to compare it to, even better if it's a solid EJ to compare to the F Hole version. Congratulations and hope you dig it!

My main gig axe is an 89 Am Std w Amalfitano PU's and I also have a stock 1970 that's been with me since it was new. So yes, I'll be able to do some comparisons and report back. I also have a good bud that has an EJ Strat and he's already told me he wants to get the two together and compare. Should be fun!

I've been eyeing those too. Very cool looking with the F hole. Are they much lighter than a regular Strat? Both my Strats weigh more than my LP Jr. Special, around 8 lbs, 4 oz. vs. my LP which is 6 lbs, 15 oz.

Spent a little time with it after doing a setup/strobe with my preferred strings (9's). It's noticeably brighter than my '89, which is not surprising as the '89 has a rosewood fretboard, but certainly not what I'd call shrill. It comes with the wiring that I have on my other Strats, so it's easy to tame the bridge PU and the neck if needed. It was also a little louder even though the '89 has aftermarket PUs (Amalfitano SP's). Noticeably lighter in weight.....shaves about a pound and a half off my other Strats so that will be nice on the gig. Fit/finish are excellent and it comes with a really nice G&G case.
I think I'm really going to dig it once I get to do a few gigs with it.

Very nice, Lou! Is the middle pickup reverse wound/reverse polarity so it's quiet in 2&4? Sure is a pretty guitar, congrats.

Congrats Lou! I ordered one from Sweetwater when they first came out. Very cool guitar. Lighter than my other two Strats ( One a 2006 EJ ). Sounded very very good. Best value in a stock Strat these days if you ask me.
End the end, I sent it back. While it was great, it was not different enough from my other EJ Strat to keep in the stable. And I surely don't need 3 Strats!
Congrats again & Enjoy!
