my friend Jason again in the studio doing a very Jerry Garcia Band version of the song "Friend of The Devil". He's playing this guitar which he's affectionately dubbed "cub".. .as in "Tiger cub". You can own one just like it.. starting at $28k. (There's a gallery that shows off The nice guitar details). www.lieberguitars.com/tiger-product-models/

Sweet, Ian, and nice production.
Very Jerry-ish sound but slicker and kinda on steroids.
Boy, I'd hate to think what that beast must weigh. It's beautiful, but...

That was really nice Ian, Thanks. Shows how tough Jerry must've been, to carry such a heavy guitar on stage every night.

Looks like they weigh in between 9 and 10 lbs. I'll have to ask.

My brother travelled with the band and told me that in later years they had to rig up a sort of an aluminum ladder type device to keep Jerry propped up onstage. Having known my brother I wouldn't want to be held accountable for the veracity but it does make a good story.

I saw the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band mainly between '81 and '83 and one last time in '93... less than 10 shows all together. Aside from an occasional forgotten lyric, Jerry was always in good form when i saw him in the '80's. I'm glad i didn't have to witness the decline.

Most excellent, thanks Ian! Love the dynamics of the group, and the pocket's about a mile deep. Interesting tone, it's cutting but still vocal. 13 1/2 pounds, yikes.

Sounds good- But I think I’ll just throw some Duncan sh3s In my humbucker guitar- and save 27,800!!!!
I would never spend that much on any guitar! Especially a copy! People are crazy !!
